Dick’s Sporting Goods to extend hours for Royals shopping spree

Pending a Royals win Wednesday, Dick’s Sporting Goods said it plans to extend store hours tonight and Thursday morning to sell Royals merchandise at its 16 Kansas City regional locations.

The sporting goods chain said it will remain open past its normal 9:30 p.m. close tonight as long as necessary to accommodate shoppers. Dick’s also will open Thursday at 6 a.m. if the Royals sweep Baltimore and advance to the World Series.
