Animal health corridor gains another company
H.J. Baker & Bro. Inc. said Friday that it is investing in a new multi-million dollar facility in Emporia, Kan., for its Animal Health and Nutrition division.
The 13,000-square-foot plant, to be built on 15 acres, is expected to begin production by March 2016.
The Emporia plant will be an encapsulation facility for H.J. Baker’s amino acid feed ingredients. The company, with a 165-year history in the agricultural industry, has specialized since the 1980s in feed ingredients for dairy cows.
