New president at Lockton employee benefits group

Lockton Companies on Monday announced the appointment of Bob Reiff as president of its employee benefits consulting group.

Reiff will succeed Mike Brewer who is retiring at the end of this year. Brewer has been president of the consulting unit, Lockton Benefit Group, since 2004.

Lockton Benefit has more than 4,000 clients worldwide. It accounted for $302 million in revenue in fiscal 2014 at Kansas City-based Lockton, the industry’s largest privately held, independent insurance broker.

Reiff, who joined Lockton in 2010, most recently was chief operating officer of the company’s St. Louis operations.

Brewer led the benefits group through dramatic growth, from a $57 million business with operations only in the United States in 2004 to one with worldwide reach today.

Lockton Companies, headquartered at 444 W. 47th St., offers employee benefits consulting, risk management and insurance services to more than 41,000 clients worldwide.
