The Central Exchange, a networking organization primarily for professional women, is observing its 35th anniversary by encouraging its 1,000-plus members to participate in volunteer projects.

The “35 for 35” project has two goals — to create networking opportunities for its members and to support community organizations, said CiCi Rojas, the Central Exchange’s chief executive.

So far, 18 specific volunteer options, beginning July 4 and stretching into December, are listed. Eventually, 35 nonprofits will be featured. Food, health, literacy, the environment, family and economic support causes are included in the lineup.

Interested people may call the Central Exchange at 816-471-7560 for more information.
