Dickinson Financial completes bank consolidation
Kansas City-based Dickinson Financial Corp. said it has completed a consolidation plan aimed at streamlining the banking company and reducing costs.
Under the plan, the company’s Phoenix-based SunBank and Tampa-based Southern Commerce Bank were merged into Academy Bank in Colorado Springs, Colo.
In addition, San Diego-based Armed Forces Bank of California merged with its Armed Forces Bank affiliate in Fort Leavenworth.
The consolidation also included the transfer of 25 Wal-Mart in-store bank branches in Missouri and Kansas from Armed Forces Bank to Academy Bank.
