Ameritas Investment opens an office in Kansas City

Ameritas Investment Corp. has opened a Kansas City public finance office that is expected to create 18 jobs over the next two years.

The Ameritas office, at 800 W. 47th St. in the Country Club Plaza area, is part of a regional expansion of the firm’s public finance and capital markets operation, according to a release from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.

The department said it offered the company an economic incentive package, based on meeting strict job creation criteria.

Ameritas is a unit of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., based in Lincoln, Neb. The Kansas City office will be managed by Brad Max and Jack Holland.
