KCI passenger traffic climbed 7.2 percent in April
Passenger traffic at Kansas City International Airport climbed 7.2 percent in April, reflecting more competitive airfares that have attracted leisure and business travelers.
The Kansas City Aviation Department reported that 853,986 passengers arrived and departed in April from KCI. Passenger boardings in April also rose 6.5 percent from a year earlier to 426,326.
April marked the 12th consecutive month of passenger growth at KCI, said Mark VanLoh, the city’s director of aviation.
“Competitive fares offered by our airline partners stimulated demand for their added flights and routes,” he said.
