Burns & McDonnell creates international division
Burns & McDonnell on Monday named Mike Brown as president of a newly created international division as it seeks more business outside of the United States.
Brown has been with the Kansas City-based engineering, architectural and environmental consulting company for 12 years in various legal and business development positions. He said he expects to triple the company’s international workforce over the next five years.
“Our goal is to replicate what we have done domestically and bring that overseas,” Brown said in a statement.
Burns & McDonnell’s international experience dates back to a hydroelectric development in Mexico in 1908, and it is currently involved in projects in more than 60 countries. Many of those projects involve aviation and military facilities for the U.S. federal government.
The international operation has offices in Doha, Qatar, Mumbai, India, and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
