University of Kansas Hospital forms partnership with Marillac
The University of Kansas Hospital and Marillac have formed a partnership to improve access to behavioral health care for area youths. The affiliation officially launches June 22.
As part of the partnership, the children’s inpatient psychiatric hospital operated by Marillac will become the University of Kansas Hospital-Marillac Campus.
All psychiatric residential treatment and outpatient services will continue operating through Marillac by the organization’s current management team, and service will continue to be provided on the Overland Park campus at 8000 W. 127th St., according to a news release.
The partnership expands on a 2011 affiliation between Marillac and the University of Kansas School of Medicine and the University of Kansas Physicians, where child psychiatry inpatient services were moved to Marillac and outpatient services and medical education were extended to Marillac.
Marillac is part of the Cornerstones of Care, a family of agencies that includes Gillis, Ozanam, Spofford and Healthy Families Programs.
