Tom Isenberg is retiring from Western Extralite division
Longtime Kansas City businessman Tom Isenberg will retire as director of special projects for Border States Electric on June 19, but he will join the company’s board of directors in August.
Isenberg and his brother, John Isenberg, owned Western Extralite Co., a third-generation family business in Kansas City, before they sold it to Border States last October for an undisclosed price. John Isenberg retired from the company in February.
Tom Isenberg joined Western Extralite in 1979 and became president in 1992. The company, now known as Western Extralite, a division of Border States, has 220 employees.
BSE, based in Fargo, N.D., is one of the nation’s largest electrical distributors, with more than 1,900 employees and 80 branches in 16 states.
