Metcalf South Shopping Center closed Friday, ending a run that started in the late 1960s.

However, the adjacent Sears store, which is independently owned and operated, will remain open, as well as the Glenwood Arts Theatre.

The mall’s new owners, Lane4 Property Group and the Kroenke Group, are deciding what to do with the property. The new owners bought the mall at the southeast corner of 95th Street and Metcalf Avenue, along with the 95 West Shopping Center, originally the French Market, at the northeast corner of the same intersection, in February.
