Export-Import Bank chief Fred Hochberg will visit Kansas City
Fred Hochberg, president of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, is scheduled to visit Kansas City on Tuesday.
His itinerary includes taking part in the Kansas City World Trade Center and Black & Veatch Business Roundtable at Union Station. The session’s discussion covers how the independent federal agency can stimulate exports and support U.S. jobs.
After lunch, Hochberg will tour the Gasket Engineering Co. in Kansas City. The business makes die cutting products and has relied on Export-Import Bank financing to sell goods outside the United States.
Financing through the Export-Import Bank, which involved $20.5 billion in authorizations last year, comes at no cost to taxpayers.
