American Cancer Society to honor American Century, Stowers Institute

American Century Investments and the Stowers Institute for Medical Research will be honored June 4 in New York at the 10th annual Financial Services Cares event hosted by the American Cancer Society.

The two Kansas City-based organizations will receive the distinguished service award for their dedication to cancer research and increasing public awareness about the disease.

American Century distributes more than 40 percent of its profits — more than $1 billion since 2000 — to an endowment that supports the Stowers Institute.
