Southwest adds nonstop between KCI-Orange County

Southwest Airlines on Thursday said it plans to begin nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport and John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif. The service is scheduled to begin on Nov. 22.

John Wayne Airport is about 35 south of Los Angeles. The flight will depart from KCI at 7 a.m., with the return leg landing here at 11:30 p.m.

Southwest currently operates 68 daily departures from KCI, with nonstop service to 27 destinations.
