Tallgrass Energy reports higher net income, revenue

Leawood-based Tallgrass Energy Partners LP on Monday reported first quarter net income attributable to partners of $32.3 million, up from $17.1 million in the same quarter of 2014.

The limited partnership, which owns and operates energy pipelines and other energy assets in North America, also reported revenue of $114.7 million for the three months ended March 31. That compares with $94.8 million in the year-earlier period.

Tallgrass said the quarterly net distribution to partners of 52 cents per common unit represented a 60 percent increase over the distribution payment in the first quarter last year.
