Photo exhibit shows what it’s like to be a fast-food worker

A group of fast food workers in the Kansas City area opens a gallery exhibit today to showcase their “$15 an hour and a union” campaign.

Their amateur photography will be on display for one month, beginning Friday, May 1, at the Talk Shop Gallery, 3936 Main St.

The workers are part of the Langston Hughes Club, a committee formed to train low-wage workers in the arts to help them document their lives and tell their own stories.
