Three hardware chains recognize Compass Minerals as top supplier

Compass Minerals of Overland Park is known for supplying governments and big companies with huge amounts of road salt and related de-icing products. But it also provides consumer products for walks and driveways and recently was recognized by three hardware cooperatives — Ace Hardware, True Value and Do It Best Corp. — as their vendor or supplier of the year. Compass said it was the first time all three hardware chains had the company in the same year.

Compass also provides mineral products for other industrial and agricultural uses, and specialty plant nutrition minerals to improve crop quality and yield.
