CEO announcement at Hunt Midwest Enterprises
Ora Reynolds, who has worked at Hunt Midwest Enterprises since 1991, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer, effectively immediately.
“Ora has earned this distinction based on her outstanding performance as the leader of Hunt Midwest,” company chairman Lee Derrough said in a prepared announcement.
Derrough said Reynolds has been instrumental in growing and diversifying the company’s real estate development business, helping lead Hunt Midwest to record profits in 2014.
Reynolds said the company was “focused on expanding into new real estate niches while continuing to grow Hunt Midwest’s core business at SubTropolis,” the company’s underground business park in Kansas City. That has included expansion into multifamily, senior living, residential and mixed-use developments.
Reynolds, a Chicago native, has been president of Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development since 2010. In 2014, she added the title of president of Hunt Midwest Enterprises.
Hunt Midwest is a privately held company owned by the Lamar Hunt family. The family owns holdings in real estate, sports, media, energy, resources, private equity and investments, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Hunt Midwest, FC Dallas Soccer Club, Toyota Stadium, Chicago Bulls and United Center.
Reynolds said she was grateful to the Hunt family for giving her the opportunity.
