YRC Worldwide expands board of directors

Overland Park-based trucking company YRC Worldwide Inc. has added Patricia Nazemetz to its board of directors.

Nazemetz has been in human resources for more than 30 years with much of that time spent at Xerox Corp., according to her LinkedIn page. Her consulting firm is called NAZ DEC LLC.

YRC expanded its board to include Nazemetz, who will face a vote of shareholders at the April 28 annual meeting to retain the seat. She’ll earn $75,000 for the work and receive $100,000 worth of YRC shares with restrictions on when she could sell them.

Separately, YRC said Walmart Stores had named it National LTL Carrier of the Year for 2014 based on its services providing less-than-truckload transportation. It’s the third time in five years it received the nod.
