Missouri Works grants $1.97 million in tax credits for DST job growth
The Missouri Department of Economic Development has awarded $1.97 million in Missouri Works tax credits to Kansas City-based DST, tied to the company’s stated plans to add at least 415 jobs within six years.
According to an announcement from the state, the jobs will be tied to DST’s Argus and ALPS businesses. Argus is part of DST’s health care segment. ALPS is part of the company’s financial services segment.
Documents filed with the Securities and Exchange commission said DST in 2016 had about 5,700 employees in the United States and about 2,700 employees internationally.
About half of the total employment is believed to be in Kansas City, where DST has been a leader in downtown redevelopment on the west side of the central business district.
The company declined to provide further comment on the state’s announcement.
