Sprint Center is getting a KU Hospital urgent care clinic
The University of Kansas Hospital next week is opening an urgent care clinic inside Sprint Center.
The hospital says it will be the first one inside the downtown loop.
Starting Monday, the walk-in clinic will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Patients older than 6 months will be seen for common ailments such as colds, allergies and flu and injuries such as cuts, scrapes, sprains, burns and fractures. Other hours or days could be added, the hospital said.
“We’ve been part of Sprint Center from its beginning, including our current role taking care of athletes and fans at its sporting events,” Bob Page, president and chief executive officer of the hospital, said in a release. “With Sprint Center as the catalyst, we see people from all over the metro flocking downtown to live, work and play. They deserve access to basic health care close to their jobs and their homes.”
The clinic is inside Sprint Center’s Grand Lobby and next to the College Basketball Experience at 1403 Grand Blvd.
