Burns & McDonnell wins awards for two projects
The Design-Build Institute of America has honored Burns & McDonnell for its work on two projects — one with Rolls-Royce Group and the other with Kirtland Air Force Base.
Burns & McDonnell, an engineering, architectural, construction and environmental consulting services company based in Kansas City, said it was named a winner of the 2014 Design-Build Project Team Awards. The company received two awards in the category of industrial/process/research facilities.
The first involved designing a machining facility in CrossPointe, Va., for Rolls-Royce to produce aircraft engine components. The company was also recognized for its design and construction of the Battlespace Environment Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico.
