TUESDAY: Treasury securities auction; earnings from IBM, United Continental.

WEDNESDAY: Consumer price index; industrial production; Federal Reserve Beige Book released; housing market index; earnings from Citigroup, Netflix, U.S. Bancorp.

THURSDAY: Housing starts; initial jobless claims; Bloomberg consumer comfort index; earnings from Commerce Bancshares, J.B. Hunt Transport, Union Pacific.

FRIDAY: Earnings from General Electric, Kansas City Southern.
