Overland Park Regional celebrates $110 million expansion
Overland Park Regional Medical Center will hold a grand opening ceremony Tuesday afternoon for its $110 million expansion, the largest construction project at the hospital since it opened in 1978.
The project includes a three-story patient tower, a new emergency department with an expanded trauma center, and a parking garage. Incorporated into the project is a trail connecting walkers from Quivira Road to the Indian Creek trail system.
The hospital will begin transitioning patients to the new facilities on Friday morning.
