MONDAY: Treasury securities auction.

TUESDAY: Federal Reserve policymakers begin two days of meetings; import and export prices.

WEDNESDAY: The Fed will announce its interest rate policy decision early in the afternoon, followed by a news conference with Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen; retail sales; producer price index; business inventories; industrial production.

THURSDAY: Initial jobless claims; housing market index; consumer price index; Bloomberg consumer comfort index.

FRIDAY: Housing starts.
