KCI passenger traffic increased in October and is up 5 percent so far this year
Passenger traffic at Kansas City International Airport climbed one percent in October from a year earlier, reflecting additional flights, new routes and larger aircraft.
Kansas City’s Aviation Department reported Tuesday that 969,599 passengers arrived and departed through KCI last month.
Through the first ten months of 2016, traffic is up 5.3 percent, with 9.22 million passengers traveling in and out.
“October marks 30 consecutive months of year-over-year traffic increases, the longest stretch of continued increases in 20 years,” said Pat Klein, the city’s aviation director.
