Mayra Aguirre named vice president and secretary of Hall Family Foundation
Mayra Aguirre, who has worked at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, the Hispanic Development Fund and the Mid-America Regional Council, will build on her grant-making experience and community background as the Hall Family Foundation’s new vice president and secretary.
Aguirre will report to foundation president Bill Hall, who leads the philanthropic arm of the Hall family, principal owners of Hallmark Cards Inc. that was founded by Joyce C. Hall. The foundation is one of the top grant makers in Kansas City and is focused on improving the quality of life in the area.
Aguirre will join the foundation in January, succeeding Tracy McFerrin, who worked for the foundation for 12 years. Aguirre holds a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University and a law degree from the University of Kansas.
