Lottery ticket sales started Tuesday at Kansas City International Airport in Terminal B under an agreement between the airport’s vendor, HMSHost, and the Missouri Lottery.

Tickets can be bought at vending machines inside the terminal serving Southwest, AirTran, Alaska and Delta.

“We are always looking for new locations to sell our products, and KCI seemed like a perfect fit,” Missouri Lottery spokeswoman Susan Goedde said in March when the plan was announced.

Airport officials have said the agreement is between HMSHost and the lottery, though the city’s Aviation Department will get a piece of the action if any larger prizes are won.
