Kansas City-based Lockton Cos. report record revenue

Lockton Cos., a Kansas City-based insurance broker, said its revenue climbed to a record $1.34 billion in its 2016 reporting period, compared with revenue of $1.24 billion a year ago.

The privately owned company, which turned 50 this year, also said it now has more than 6,000 employees in 80 offices worldwide, with its headquarters on the Country Club Plaza. The company provides insurance, risk management, employee benefits consulting and retirement services to more than 50,000 clients.
