Alere eScreen moving from Overland Park to KC and adding jobs
A technology company that provides employment screening applications for drug testing and occupational health services is relocating from Overland Park to Kansas City in October.
Alere Inc. will move the headquarters of its eScreen Inc. subsidiary to 8140 Ward Parkway, assisted by incentives from the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The state offered $5.1 million through the Missouri Works program, contingent on the company’s job creation. The company, founded in 1998, has 235 current eScreen employees and says it will add 30 more after the move.
Company operations will occupy about 75,000 square feet on two floors in a building that also houses Applebee’s offices.
The move represents a $6.8 million capital investment.
Workers at eScreen include specialists in information technology, finance, legal and executive operations. They have been located at 7500 W. 110th St. in Overland Park.
Kessinger/Hunter and Co. and Executive Hills Management are assisting the company with the move.
