Freelance advertising, marketing showcase set for Sept. 29 in Kansas City

Individual advertising and marketing professionals will display their portfolios next week at the annual showcase sponsored by the Freelance Exchange of Kansas City.

The event is 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the River Market Event Place, 140 Walnut St. It is designed to attract local businesses to meet freelancers and see their work.

Freelancers exhibiting at the showcase will include graphic designers, art directors, illustrators, copywriters, editors, proofreaders, photographers, videographers, web designers, web programmers, and public relations, marketing and account strategists.

The showcase will be preceded at 10:30 a.m. by a panel discussion on “making the most of client/freelancer relationships.”
