The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $87 million nationally for technology improvements in health care organizations, and three grants went to the Kansas City area.

The Health Partnership Clinic of Johnson County received $78,589; the Kansas City Care Clinic received $51,344, and the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center received $83,277.

The funds are to be used for information technology “enhancements” to update patient records systems.
