Calling entrepreneurs in Kansas City: enter ‘pitch video’ contest

Entrepreneurs with annual business revenue of $20,000 or less — or would-be entrepreneurs who want to put a business idea into operation within six months — are invited to submit entries to a Kansas City entrepreneurship contest.

AltCap, a Kansas City community development financial institution, along with UMB Bank and Cerner Corp., is sponsoring a “pitch video” contest that will pay three eventual winners $5,000 each.

Entrants must submit a one- or two-minute video about their business or business plan by Oct. 3. Winners will be announced the week of Nov. 14.
