Missing Kansas City teen found safe hours after disappearance, police say

Police say a missing Kansas City teen has been found safe.

Uriel Thompson, 13, went missing Wednesday morning after he was last seen around 10 a.m. near 63rd Street and South Benton Boulevard. He was last seen wearing black joggers, a black Hogan Preparatory Academy polo shirt and white tennis shoes.

Thompson was found safe hours later, said Capt. Jake Becchina, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department.
