Spud

7-month-old mixed breed

Meet Spud, a sweet 7-month-old mixed breed pup with a gentle disposition and a big heart for his people.

Spud is currently enrolled in a training program called “Confidence College.” This is a program that helps him understand that the world isn’t so scary, and that he can be brave in new situations.

Since he is still a puppy, he still has a lot to learn about the world. Spud needs people to help him continue his confidence journey. He would do best in a home with another social dog because other dogs make him feel a lot more comfortable in new situations. Spud has also lived with cats before so if you have a feline companion, they would probably do just fine.

The world can feel a little scary to Spud right now, but we know he can overcome his fears with the patient and supportive family by his side.

Spud is also available for a Slumber Pawty. This is a 7-10 day overnight stay in a prospective adopter home to see if it’s a good fit. Contact our team to learn more adoptions@waysidewaifs.org.

Piper

Meow there! Meet Piper, a 3-year-old calico with a pig purrsonality and an even bigger love for being the center of attention. She is sweet, sassy, full of charm, and definitely knows how to use her adorable voice to get what she wants.

Piper is an independent girl who enjoys affection, but only when she’s in the mood. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you just how loving and cuddly she can be but does appreciate a little personal space, too. That’s why she’s looking for a cat-savvy adopter who understands feline body language and knows how to respect her boundaries.

Piper loves having all the attention to herself and doesn’t want to share the spotlight with any other cats, so she must be your one and only diva, scratch that, we mean one and only cat.

If you’re looking for a cat who’s full of purrsonality and knows what she wants, then Piper might be the right girl for you.
