Food & Wine picks the ‘Best Bars in Kansas City’
Cheers to Westport: Five of the neighborhood’s pubs are featured on Food & Wine’s recent list of “Best Bars in Kansas City.”
Kelly’s Westport Inn, Harry’s Bar & Tables, Julep, Ça Va and Bluestem’s lounge all made the cut. Writer Kate Donnelly dubbed Kelly’s “iconic” and Harry’s an “institution.”
Donnelly also gave shout-outs to the cheap beer and Buffalo wings at The Peanut, the “Restoration Hardware” decor vibes at Gram & Dun, and the German-style lagers at KC Bier Co.
Manifesto, the speakeasy-style craft cocktail bar below The Rieger Hotel Grill & Exchange, also made Food & Wine’s list.
“Dark, moody and subterranean with a secret entrance?” Donnelly writes. “Check, check and check.”
