The next hot decor trend: Wood accent walls

Wood walls are hot. So says NousDecor, the latest in a series of websites that provide custom design plans at budget prices, which compiled a list of 10 signs that they’re the next home decor trend.

Wood walls have been trending in upscale Kansas City area homes for awhile. The Star’s House+Home featured a story about ways to Warm up your home with wood on walls and ceilings in 2014.

Carrying the wood beyond floors works well with a number of interior styles such as Shabby Chic, rustic, modern and contemporary, not to mention color palettes ranging from whites and pastels to primaries and neons.

And speaking of palettes, Goodwill gives step-by-step instructions on creating such a wall using wooden palettes that can be found for free or close to it on Craigslist.
