Meghan Trainor cancels nationwide tour, including stop near Kansas City
Fans of Meghan Trainor will have to wait another time to see the Grammy winner. Her Kansas City concert will no longer be happening.
On Friday, April 17, Trainor took to her Instagram story to announce her Get In Girl Tour would be cancelled. The tour was set to begin June 12, with her Kansas City stop on June 22 at the Morton Amphitheater.
Trainor cited having to balance her new album release, the tour and a new baby, Mikey Moon Trainor, as her reason for canceling the tour.
“I know this will come as a disappointment to my fans, and I am so sorry to let you down,” Trainor said in her post. “But I know this is the right decision for my family and me right now.”
Ticketmaster also confirmed the tour’s cancellation, saying those who purchased a ticket will receive a refund to the original payment method. The refund should appear on your account within 14-21 days. The concert is no longer listed on the Morton Amphitheater website.
The tour was in support of Trainor’s new album, “Toy With Me,” which releases April 24.
