Some of Kansas City’s most famous haunted houses are opening in the West Bottoms
Halloween is more than a month and a half away, but the season of ghosts and horrors is upon us.
Full Moon Productions’ three haunted houses in the West Bottoms return this weekend for their 51st year, opening Friday, Sept. 12, and running through Nov. 1.
The highlight is The Beast, which was voted best haunted house in the nation in 2019 and was named among five legendary haunted houses in 2023 by America Haunts. Macabre Cinema features horror scenes in a re-created 1930s movie theater, and Edge of Hell offers “a five-story fright from heaven to hell.”
Here’s everything you need to know about these frightening experiences.
