Ready to ring in 2025? Here are 9 New Year’s Eve parties happening around Kansas City

James Kennedy won’t be on hand, but the New Year’s Eve show will go on at KC Live! in the Power & Light District.

What had been billed for months as “NYE Live! with James Kennedy” is now just “NYE Live!” after the London-born reality TV star and DJ was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence.

Kennedy, who has appeared on 10 seasons of “Vanderpump Rules,” was arrested Dec. 10 in Burbank, California, after being accused of throwing his girlfriend to the ground. A number of venues have canceled his DJ dates since the arrest.

Kansas City’s biggest NYE blowout still will offer its traditional array of entertainment to ring in 2025, including multiple DJs, live music, party favors, confetti cannons and a countdown to midnight with a Times Square-style ball drop.

Here’s what you need to know if you plan to attend.
