Kelce Jam canceled as organizers plan for ‘even bigger, better’ event next summer
Travis Kelce’s fledgling music festival, Kelce Jam, has been canceled for this year, organizers posted on social media Tuesday.
The news disappointed fans who sounded off, including this comment on the event’s Facebook page: “It’s crazy that y’all kept us waiting this long just to do this lol.”
“Dammit Trav last year was so fun,” wrote another.
Here’s the announcement.
“Kelce Jam is planning ahead for 2026. Although we’ll miss being with you this year, we’re taking this time to gear up for an even bigger, better, and more unforgettable experience next summer.
“Stay tuned for exciting updates and announcements. We can’t wait to celebrate with you again soon.”
Many fans expected the festival to happen on Saturday after May 17 was accidentally revealed last month in a Garage Beer contest.
But until Tuesday afternoon, four days out, there had been no announcement of what acts would be performing, or even where the show would be held
The radio silence annoyed fans, who said so online. Some who griped about the cancellation wondered where the tight end’s “head” is these days, while others were more generous in their responses to the news.
A sampling of what fans are saying on Instagram:
“I knew it in my gut it wasn’t happening this year it’s ok he needs to focus on himself and enjoy his off time before football season starts.”
“That’s ok we just have longer to plan. Thanks for the heads up.I’m sure it’s going to be a big event.”
“Oh I’ll definitely will be there for 2026!”
“Nooooooooo.”
“Kelce fell off hard.”
Kelce has been keeping his head down, for sure.
Since the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl earlier this year, Kelce and superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift — coming off the record-breaking Eras Tour — have stayed out of the public eye.
They resurfaced for a Mother’s Day lunch with family in Philadelphia on Sunday. It was the first time in several weeks they had been photographed together in public.
Before Tuesday’s announcement, a notice on KelceJam.com said “2025 Announcement Coming Soon!” That seemed to suggest a show would happen this year.
The first two Kelce Jams took place at Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs, Kansas. But as late as Sunday there was no event scheduled at that venue for May 17.
