Kansas City things to do: Tree arrival and ice skating at Crown Center, Pumpkin Smash
Crown Center will kick off the holiday season with the arrival of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree and the opening of the Crown Center Ice Terrace.
The 100-foot tree will arrive from Oregon at 9 a.m. Nov. 4 and will be put into its stand at about 10 a.m. Nov. 5. Get details at crowncenter.com/events/arrival-mayors-christmas-tree. The traditional lighting ceremony will take place at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 26.
The Ice Terrace will open for its 49th season with a free session 6-9 a.m. Nov. 5 and will be open through March. For hours and prices, go to crowncenter.com/iceterrace.
