Royals’ Danny Duffy made a tribute video for the deceased ‘Rally Mantis’
What a week.
The Royals’ #RallyMantis showed up only last Saturday and good fortune smiled on the team as it won five of six games.
Alas, The Star’s Rustin Dodd reported that the Praying Mantis has died Friday night while with the team in Minnesota.
Royals left-hander Danny Duffy didn’t waste any time in making a tribute video for the insect, which had become the team’s mascot*.
*In April, that is a sentence I never, ever could have predicted I’d write
