Baker University signs 'Big Easy,' a 6-5, 420-pound football recruit
An ESPN reporter made a minor stir on Twitter during Wednesday’s signing day when he took note that BYU had a committment from Motekiai Langi, who is 6 feet, 7 inches tall and 410 pounds.
In other words, nearly as heavy as a recruit Baker signed.
NyQuel Alexander is a two-way player from Lakewood High School in Florida. He is 6-5 and 420 pounds.
Here is what the Tampa Bay Times wrote about Alexander in its 2014 football preview: “Coaches would like to see this 6-foot-5, 420-pounder lose some weight to improve his agility. If that happens, he’ll be hard to get around in the trenches.”
