Omar Infante sends his thanks to Royals fans
Second baseman Omar Infante was part of two American League championship teams in Kansas City, and he got a World Series ring after the Royals won it all a year ago.
Infante’s offensive production declined after his first season with the Royals in 2014, and there were calls for the team to cut ties with him.
But when the Royals designated Infante for assignment earlier this month, a lot of Royals fans expressed their gratitude for what Infante had done for the Royals.
On Tuesday, Infante returned the favor, posting a thank-you note to Royals fans on Instagram.
You may recall that former Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie also bid farewell to Royals fans with an Instagram post in February.
