Royals catcher Drew Butera pitched on Saturday night and fans loved it
It turned out to be Drew Butera Night at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday.
The Royals lost 13-5 to Houston and Butera was called on to pitch in the ninth inning. He allowed a double, but then retired three straight Astros, including one via strikeout. Take a look:

Butera also added a double in the bottom of the ninth inning (and did the hair flip), but he was thrown out trying to score on a single by Paulo Orlando.
Fans loved seeing Butera on the mound.

I never thought I'd say this, but Butera just might be my new favorite pitcher.
