Clemson beats Oklahoma, and the ‘Big Game Bob’ jokes soon follow

If you go by the seeds, top-ranked Clemson was expected to beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl in the College Football Playoff national semifinal game.

However, the Sooners entered the game on a roll and many people thought they would pull the upset. Alas, Clemson won 37-17.

Sooners coach Bob Stoops got the nickname “Big Game Bob” for a string of victories early in his tenure at Oklahoma. That moniker is now used to mock Stoops. And there was no shortage of critics on Thursday:
