Ndamukong Suh suspended for this incident with Aaron Rodgers
Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh made a splash Sunday when he stepped on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers while Rodgers was on the ground.
Unfortunately for Suh, his past indiscretions make him a target, even if this was an accident.
The NFL seemed to think it wasn’t and suspended him for the Lions’ playoff game against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Was it intentional or not? Here are a few angles of the play from Vines found online:
Packers coach Mike McCarthy has no doubt about Suh’s intentions.
“I didn’t see it live, I didn’t see it on the (scoreboard), but from what I’m told, I’m told it was ridiculous,” McCarthy told the Detroit Free Press. “There’s no place for that. That’s where I’m at with it. I don’t understand it, frankly.”
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said other Detroit players told him what happened.
“I didn’t see it, and I don’t think it was intentional either,” Caldwell told the Detroit News.
On Twitter, Suh had a few defenders, but most people were upset (and here are a few of the clean tweets):
@NdamukongSuh You are a completely classless pig. You and your buddies are a disgrace and deserve to lose every game. #GoPackGo
