Jarrod Dyson was grand marshal of Christmas parade in his hometown
Royals outfielder Jarrod Dyson is loved in his hometown of McComb, Miss.
That much is clear from the photos shared on social media from the city’s Christmas parade, which was Saturday. Dyson was the grand marshall of the parade and he shared this before the festivities.
Here are some other photos from the parade (the first three are from Nelda D. Gatlin’s Facebook page):

And finally, here are a pair of pictures from Ricky Boone’s Facebook page:
Looks like a fun time was had by all. In addition to being the grand marshal, the McComb Enterprise-Journal had a story that said the city’s mayor wants to change Avenue H in the city to Jarrod Dyson Drive. The story also said that there is a move afoot to have signs acknowledging that McComb is Dyson’s hometown.
I have to ask this, though. How about “That’s What Speed Do” Avenue? Sounds good, right? I guess the police might not think so...
