Salvador Perez, Jarrod Dyson, Eric Stonestreet are nominees for MLB Network Social Awards
Suffering from Royals withdrawal?
You can recapture a bit of the fun of last season when the MLB Network will host its second annual MLB Network Social Media Awards show on Dec. 14.
The show will be co-hosted by Heidi Watney, who was embedded with the Royals during the playoffs, and Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer.
You can vote here for the 13 categories.
No surprise, but Royals catcher Salvador Perez is a multiple nominee. He’s up for Best Instagrammer and Best Videobomb.
Perez should win the Instagram award if for no other reason than all the posts of him pestering teammate Lorenzo Cain.
Here’s an example:
The videobomb was of Watney during the World Series.
Jarrod Dyson’s quote after game one of the American League Divisional Series against the Angels is up for quote of the year. He said, “Can’t stop speed. I’m going to keep running.”
Kansas City’s Eric Stonestreet is up for Celebrity Fan of the Year, and this is the Instragam video he did with his castmate Jesse Tyler Ferguson on “Modern Family:”
